This species is characterised by almost purely yellow style, glabrous peduncles, shallowly denticulate leaves and the indumentum of the phyllaries with numerous short, yellow-headed glandular hairs and fewer hairs.
In Denmark rather common in the eastern and central parts of Jylland, and more scattered on Fyn and Sjælland. It seems to prefer a somewhat sandy soil and grows in forests, heaths and at road slopes.
