This species is easily recognised by its pinnatifid, longly pointed, broadly lanceolate leaves which develope violet spots in intense sunlight, by the indumentum of the inflorescence with long, black glandular hairs and by margins of stellate hairs ending in a tuft of tiny hairs at the apex of the phyllaries. In Denmark rare and only found in the southeastern part of Jylland and at one locality on Fyn.
300,0-900,0 mm.
