Differs from the closely similar P. aurantiaca ssp. dimorpha by totally lacking stellate hairs on the lower leaf-surface. Very rare. In Denmark introduced and naturalised on railway slopes, roadsides, lawns and young plantations. Found near København, at Falster, Fyn and Jylland.
