A small and slender annual plant, growing totally submerged in clearwater lakes. Leaves with a broad base clasping the stem, 1-3 cm long, 0,5-0,7 mm wide, very fine toothed, in the upper part of the plant possitioned in whorls of 3. Very rare and protected in Denmark. Listed under Annexes II and IV of the EC Habitats Directive and Appendix I of the Bern Convention. -
